Pre-ordered Halo 3

Finally got around to doing it tonight. I'd been meaning to hit Gamestop until I realized that Best Buy was a tad bit closer and they'd let me pre-order online and pick it up.

Everyone else all set?

I bought Halo last year near Christmas for $7.29 on sale used and found Halo 2 at a Giant Eagle for $9.99 used three months ago.

I rarely play them, but am happy to own both, and have -0- interest in a 360 or Halo 3, but if that's your thang, go for it! just expect me to roll my eyes if I hear about any $129 preorders!

:P

Sure, if this is acceptable:

DOS games werent even as straightforward as this, so never mind the commodores
Having sealed black box PC's would give as convenient a gaming environment as consoles, but wouldnt be encouraged by hardware industry.

Halo in particular is just too hyped.

That sounds like me! I really haven't played either one that much, although I might buy the multiplayer map DVD for it! IIRC it's $12.99, although I can get a 10% discount on it!

Hey, if you can get a tax write off or discount, that's great, but I haven't stomached spending over $70 for a single game since the Super Nintendo / Sega Genesis days!

Remember too, according to *some* companies, if multiple PC users play the game, they're freeloaders and software pirates!

At least Microsoft hasn't said you can't play Halo 1/2/3 with your friends on your XBOX/360 without multiple copies! and you can rent console video games or take them to your friends homes! and get them to buy it!

You can trade it in towards another game, buy used copies! There are many things you can do with console games that you can't do with PC games!

Gee I wonder why we even buy PC games anymore? I hate to imagine the specs Halo 3 would require if it were ported to PC!

Like my siggy says, I'm glad I have an XBOX for Halo 2 and not the PC version!

I'll get around to playing this game in a few weeks. Amazon just shipped my Skate today and I'll be definitely playing that a lot.

This isn't a case of the manufacturer overhyping their product. Bungie's about as up-front as they come in dealing with their fan-base.

Sony, on the other hand...

No free stuff with pre-order at ebgames? No pre-order for me.

I plan to walk in after classes and all the fanboys cleared out and pick up the standard edition.
