Sony Offering Free PS3 Or PSP With HDTV Purchase In EU
2007/09/14 10:27:08: Posted by DM

Apparently, Sony is offering a pretty sweet deal overseas, in Sweden at the very least. Anyone who purchases a full-HD TV from Sony, will get either a free Playstation 3 unit or a 200EU rebate on the TV. On top of that, with every HD Ready TV purchased, buyers will receive a free Sony PSP. NO word on if this deal is coming to the US, or what model PS3 or PSP is being given away. This should boost the PS3 numbers a ton, though. Click the link for the original advertisment image. Comment and let us know if there is more to translate!

Update: The ad says the deal runs from October 1 to November 31, 2007, so start saving up!

Ad that started the buzz
It might not be an incentive to get an HDTV, but if this is for real, people should appreciate free stuff with their future HDTV purchase. Though you swedish Bobs might wanna know

On a premiere day in one of the Virgin stores in London they gave a free 40'' Sony Bravia for every PS3 bought. Funny thing is ppl hadn't known about it and they didn't give away all Bravias they were supposed to give. Meh, too bad I wasn't in London at that time.

Finally something that makes up for the price difference. It's a great deal if you already planned to get a new tv. Otherwise, you might be able to sell the tv or your old one to get back some more money.

The price of that HDTV must be something... eyes popping, no? xD

When it come to Sony, they'll do everything to squeeze the last penny from your wallet.

You buy an HDTV... and you get the two of the most essential devices for HD entertainment? Wow... now I kinda wish I was in EU. D:

Is refraction super rich? Aren't HDTV's pricey?
They should give us ps3's of the old stock that are still in the US, who are they trying to fool, we know that some old stock hasn't been bought for a loooooooong time, give us that and not the ps2/ps1 emulated junk Sony!!!!!!
My friend found one of the first ps3's made or shipped and bought it. I'll post the code on the box(this should help tell for sure?) when i see him next and confirm with you guys.
Or perhaps THIS is the WAY to get rid of the old ps3's not bought and new ones in warehouses, hmmmmmm......

Yeah, this sounds like desperation from Sony.
