How is Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl?
Well I had some money and had a choice between Bioshock and Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. Seeing as Bioshock would of ate up all of my funds which I needed because of going to our State Fair on Saturday, I opted to buy the $20 cheaper Stalker of Chernobyl.
It looks like a pretty ok game looking at the box and haven't heard much about it other than a small dispute back when this game was first released that it was using similar files or file names from other games like Doom or something, I'm not sure. I know this is a FPS game, but what are your opinions on it. Is it a good game or an ok game. What kind of reviews or ratings did this game receive? Well anyways I thought I would ask to be sure I didn't buy another game that is pure suckage. Next on my list of purchases is Bioshock, the Orange Box from Valve and Crysis. |

So.....anyone, how is Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl? I played very little of it, but think I encountered a bug where performance was excellent at the expense of anything that made it fancy even though I had almost everything on max except for a few things like Anisotropic Filtering or Anti-Aliasing which were set to off and shadows on low.
I haven't played enough yet to get any sort of impression except it seems like a FPS RPG and a little creepy so I'm open to opinions on this game. So to anyone who has completed it, is this game good or did I waste my money on an otherwise lame suckfest? Thanks.
