Tales of Phantasia PSX translation showing *huge* progress!

If you have been following their forums for the last two months, you will have noticed a lot of progress going on the patching front.

But what's better than newsposts, huh?

woah.... I had been fregiously following PP progress until recently (say... 1 year ago). I am really looking forward to playing this version, so go for it! (though... maybe I should stop being my lazy self and put my 3 years of basic Japanese classes to use )

Gees, looks like a dedicated gamer Translation would be a hard thing to achieve for games.

Well looks like more people will get to enjoy ToP. Maybe I will play it again after clearing through my back log.

By the way: There's a second project trying to overtake Phantasian Productions in the final lap. They already have a complete translation and their font hacks look VERY promising!

I'm also very hyped for Policenauts translation. Snatcher was an awesome game which left me wanting more and it sucks that Konami didn't translate Policenauts back then because Snatcher's sales were quite low.

good news.
Another project I am really anticipating is the translation of Magna Carta.
Maybe it will be ready this year.

They just had another major site update. Apparently the cosmetical hacks are almost complete, the script translation has reached 80% and they have even added skit subtitles. Way to go!

I played TOP for the first time using Zsnes. Maybe halfway from beating the game I learned about the PSX version translation patch... then I've stopped playing. Yup I've been refraining from playing TOP for years just because I want to play this version translated.

So;

That's what I call GOOD NEWS !

I was just about to post a thread asking about a link to the site but this thread is still on the front page.

Looking forward to this translation.

Why aren't they translating tales of destiny 2 instead?? TOP is already translated and I always prefer the original versions ( SNES ).
