Metroid Prime 3...graphics are just as good as 360 game!
So it looks like i was right... actual Wii games are gamecube games in Wii DVD format...
Metroid Prime 3 is the best proof of that.... the games looks amazing and the graphics looks just as a 360 game. if you haven´t played this game i strongly recommend you to get your hands on it!!! finally a game that shows what the Wii is capable of ![]() Greetz

Looks about the same as a good Xbox1 game to me.

I was going to get my uncle to send it to me from the states, but apparently it causes problems when you play it on a PAL Wii, so looks like I might have to wait (unless someone figures out how to remove the duplicate channels the update on the disc brings).
I agree that the graphics are starting to show what the wii is capable of (roughly a Xbox 1, I think saying its as good as a 360 game is a big leap, maybe if you were playing a 360 on standard def), I understand you can take screen shots ingame, are you able to get them onto a PC?

Just got the game myself, took itself longer than it should have with express mail, anyhow fired it up and my jaw dropped, it is a sexy game, the graphics are stunning, gameplay is perfect. Its the Wii's first and only real Killer app.
@ruantec-Man send me a PM and we can exchange Wii Numbers as well as send each other some of these Friend Vouchers.

To say that is a bit of a stretch, they're still using the old Metroid Prime engine with this one. However, it does look damn good and it's a nice polishing of the original graphics, and I think it certainly looks better than an Xbox game (I can name a couple of Gamecube games that do that, actually). Maybe Super Mario Galaxy will obtain the "360-like" title.
So far I'm loving this game, it's everything Metroid Prime 2 should have been. The game is huge, flows well, and the controls are pretty damn slick. Now I can finally pretend Metroid Prime 2 doesn't exist. God I hate that game so much. |

the reason prime 3 looks so much better is because they incorporated bump mapping and bloom lighting into the engine. what makes it look impressive is nintendo's use of artwork over high end graphic tech instead..Not really sure if its 360 caliper though.. it still doesn't look as good an gen 1 360 games regardless of resolution..

OMFG! Seriously! I'm about 2 hours into the game (havn't gone too far since I'm exploring more than trying to beat the game, I'm at the part when Samus get Corrupted which is not really far at all) and I have to say that this is one of the best games that I've played to date! It's so awesome just by the controls itself. The controls are wierd at first but I got the hang of it in around 30 minutes. Now it feels more natural. As soon as you get used to the controls, you don't want to put down the game. The only thing that I don't like is that my wrist gets sore from the Wiimote. The way that Nintendo made it makes playing games uncomfortable at times because of the way that you have to angle your wrist to point at the TV. It would be better if I could hold the Wiimote slightly more upright but I have to angle my wrist forward which makes my wrist sore if I do that too long. But that's a flaw with the Wiimote design, not Metroid Prime 3. The cut scenes are great and the interaction with NPCs is great as well. Voice acting is a major plus (it's about ****ing time Nintendo). So far I'm really immersed into the game and I expect it only to get better. The thing that sets it aside from the other Metroid games is that you actually feel like Samus and not just controlling her. It also kind of feels like Star Wars meets Metroid because of certain elements in the game that have the Star Wars feel to it. For example, in some places, you can see spaceships going at each other in space and some areas have that Star Wars look. That's definitely not bad, it's actually pretty cool imo. The only bad side is the graphics. Well, the graphics are not bad and the level design is very detailed but the thing is that it looks like the MP games on the GameCube. There's a little bloom and some enhancements here and there, but it still looks like MP2 imo. I really don't care though since it's well known that the Wii isn't much better than the GC graphically. Anyways, it's an awesome game and that's all that matters.

Erm, what this game has is great art direction, as far as graphics are concerned (tech wise) its no where near a PC/360/PS3 game.

i agree ... I think the nifty little tricks it pulls makes it look better than normal wii/gamecube games but not on the level of ps3/pc/360
