I know I don't post on emuforums much anymore, but I'm a big fan of TF2. Feel free to invite me if you want. I usually stick to Pestgaming.com's servers as I've found a nice home there.

Hey guys,

I just installed a TF2 server on our PCSX2 dedicated machine.
Feel free to join at: 213.171.197.158:27075

( open up the commandline and type: connect 213.171.197.158:27075 )

The server should also appear in the normal game list.

Do you play on anticonsumer VAC-"protected" servers or ones differently secured (Punkpuster, etc, anything but VAC...)?

only cheat servers have no vac really

guys i was playing with joncy2006 and skoreanime for a few hours.

we played all these custom maps; theres this one called "mariokart 16" or something like that.

GOD DAMN!!! ITS THE BEST MAP EVER!!!!

everyone needs to play that map.

it has infinite ammo, moon-jump, and the map is freaking awsome.

it has race-cars driving around and Anime and Mario posters everywhere.

custom maps pwn.

how do you know?

and the map was fun as hell.

it wasn't really "balanced", but it was really fun to just fool around in.

i rather have a fun game than a "balanced" game

besides, TF2 is really gay in their balancing.
thats the one thing i don't like about it; and me, TCOS, and PCXL-fan were talking about it yesterday.

Its like in order to not make any class too good, they make them all suck at something. And it really ends up limiting the fun-factor.

for instance, the Heavy can't jump when hes shooting. And he moves really slow when shooting.

And the Soldier has to reload his ammo every 4 shots, which sucks.

hmm the autobalancer only worked when the teams had uneven amounts of players in it. I should check for a better one based on the skills.

Btw I could install the mario map, I've played it in the past and its great.

by "balance" we were mainly talking about the way the game actually balances different classes so that 1 class isn't superior towards the others

and the mariokart custom map was awsome, installing it on the PCSX2 server would be great

...you know if you practice you get good,
just a thought

if you learn what to do and where - you'll have fun owning everyone in a fair way

it's more fun to be awesome due to skill instead then humiliating the other players through chat
