I'm pretty sure it is public. I think the only reason why it's always empty is because... It's always empty.

People don't feel like joining on a server with 0 players. But when we get like 4-6 of us in the server, we usually manage to get a few strangers to join.

But otherwise, people are more interested when looking at the server list to go at the server who already has 12-20 players and to join that one. We'd need something "special" to attract people, which I have no idea what it could be.

AFAIK, you can add bots, they just don't do anything... No AI yet. Other than that I don't know much, so no idea if you can have them automatically removed when a player join the game or something, but they probably wouldn't stay long when seeing 2-4 players not moving.

if falcon changed the respawn time to 5~10 seconds, instead of 15 seconds, then we'd probably get more people.
all good servers shorten the re-spawn time.
15 seconds is too boring.

the server should appear public.

And I wont adjust the respawn times because that would cause our server to only appear in the custom tab.

I still think the rating system is a bit weird:

There must be AI routines you can load onto the computer server. Just basic ones even if they aren't properly coded to use the various classes or weapons correctly yet, at least they can run around if given a path to travel for various maps.

So right now you got bots, but they don't move at all, since they don't have any brains to tell them how to move.

If there's nothing official in the package out of the box, just forget that.

@ tanakhil: secunded. I read much about the future addition of bots and the capabilities they would have, but did not see these in usage. No biggie anyway, smacking you will be a sweeter deal than AI statues.

I haven't found anyone who managed to do that, but we can keep looking, it could be a PITA to do if we have to do it ourselves from scratch. Like, a HUGE PITA

You don't need a awesome PC to run TF2 =/.
(maybe if you want to run it at max settings, yeah, but you can easily run it at medium or even low setting with your run-of-the-mill PC)

nah it dosn't.

they appear in the regular server tab.

on the server browser, you can see alot of servers say "fast respawn", and they're listed in the normal tab.

TCoS was playing on an amd 64, with an integrated card. It plays well.
