You will get a PS3 only for one game? You will enjoy the PS3 a lot of years..

Heh I have the same opinion. I can't wait for it to come out. I'll have plenty of time to save up for a PS3

I have yet to finish MGS3 Subsistence, but i'm definitely looking forward to get a ps3 with mgs4. But even if mgs4 will be released this year i'll wait until somewhen next year to get a decent hdtv together with a ps3. I've learned my lesson about waiting for the proper time some time ago.

I really wonder what the story will be like cause i've seen some trailers and i'm kinda confused about snake's age. But anyway, time will tell, hopefully

1.Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2)
2.Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops(PSP)
3.Metal Gear (MSX)
4.Metal Gear 2 (MSX)
5.Metal Gear Solid (PS1/PC/GC)
6.Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2/PC)
7.Metal Gear Solid 4(PS3)

I believe that's the right order.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it too, but I hesitate whether to buy it at once or wait some time as some sort of MGS4 "Subsistence" will eventually follow it.

dont forget that on the ps3 enhancements like new maps or sutis or weapons or whatever, can be sold online, so theres not necessarily another version and if there is you can get its enhencements otherwise.
i would be wondering if it was realyl worth the money if theres jsut this one game to look forward to, but tbh, i got the ps2 because of MGS2 as well (althoughill admit that one was rather disapointing).

yeah MGS2 was a bit of a letdown for me. i liked the part on the boat when you are actually playing as snake but the rest of the game was confusing and weird

True, I didn't think of it TBH Well, I probably buy MGS4 once it hits the shelves anyway, I just couldn't wait nobody-knows-how-long, I just love the series. MGS2 wasn't that big dissapointment, I pretty much enjoyed it and all this flame on it is mainly because of Raiden character I think. Sure he's one of the most gay charasters but I wonder if people would complain so much about MGS2 if you played Plant part with... Pliskin?

MGS3 is still the best though and I just can't forget Big Boss's look he gave the president when he was attaching him the medal. That was brilliant!

nope, i dont need snake to enjoy the game
the plot of MGS2 was simply extremly badly executed, if you pay attention, everthing still happens to snake in the game. even though you get to play raiden, who, in the overall story, only fits the role of a side character. snake gets to fight all the interesting bosses too (and the game doesnt even show it...). and while snake had all the juicy stuff, raiden got to talk about his relationship with his girldfriend again and again and again...
the game left such a sour taste that i lost interest in MGS3 completely, when two years later i bought it out of boredom and was truly blown away. because of its spectacular feeling and cinematics its probably my favorite MGS around and only because it was so outstanding im really looking forward to MGS4.

You're quite of a emotional guy when it comes to feeling let down by games eh?
