The irony would be if the places with the american flags all over them had signs saying "no foreigners".

It's a bit run down but has a certain charm. The question is how many of the new-looking places are actually new, or just places that are resisting getting old.

Of course it is, that's been a known fact since '96 ^^ It even has the actual weather in it based on the weather history of that region.

Official "Real Pictures" topic at Shenmuedojo

More pictures here, including Aberdeen and Guilin (from Shenmue 2)

And this is a real lovely feature of the site for every Shenmue fan. Click the names of the areas and a map pops up where you can get screenshots of every building, including backgrounds of the people living there.

Edit: added another picture to the thread. You didn't think they made up any temples in the game, did you? Cause they didn't, Man Mo temple is there

I've seen some pics of "real life" shenmue sometime ago.

Dunno if you shenmue fans feel the same thing but, whenever I go to a big city, tall and full of old-looking buildings, I feel some nostalgia back to the old yokosuka raining days man. It's awesome. Shenmue is a game that have changed the way I think of places and situations.
