Playstation + Wii = WiiStation

Brillent Gaming and next gen graphics mixed with shed loads of Fun. Would people buy it or would it sink to the bottom like Dreamcast did?

i think the question should be:
would sony and nintendo collaborate again? (that's how the ps1 came into existence so i doubt nintendo would want to work with sony again)

It will never happen but it would change history if it did.

I'm sure by the time the PS3's days have been counted, there will be plenty of peripherals designed for specific games. rather than the other way around.

If PC gaming revived and console gaming falls into pit or if XBox killed Nintendo and Sony, then maybe it'll happen
But I'll definitely buy it since it should be darn cheap (due to competitions listed above)
Otherwise I think Sony to Nintendo is ATI/AMD to Intel XD

The Wii made that type of control cool! That makes it uniq in it's own right.

Patent lasts for 20 years, so maybe something will happen in 2027

I think, if anything, it would be the other way around. Sony wouldn't want to work with Nintendo again. Nintendo got a bit sneaky the first time around and dropped Sony's input and moved to Phillips without warning. Naturally, this pissed off Sony, so they released the supposed SNES peripheral on their own as the PlayStation.

Nintendo parting ways with Sony is how we got those awesome Zelda CD-I games.

The PlayStation is only based on that system. They didn't dare release the whole thing since it was buggy, it was copyrighted, and it was just a SNES with a CD drive.

Like Cid said, peripherals for games will eventually be created... rather than games for peripherals. Why? Because they bring more profit to the developers. Take the Guitar Hero series and the DDR series for example.
