Jak II

Hey, I just got finished playing the first one, I thought it was an attractive, if completely generic, platformer.
Now I pop Jak II in, play for half an hour, and I'm nauseas. Every source, or review, I've read has stated specifically that there is no slowdown, no draw back to this seamless city. Ok, so I've only been playing for half an hour, but, there's so much flicker, slowdown, and screen tearing that I'm feeling nauseas. How did no one else notice this? Is my PS2 wonked? Could my cheap T.V., that has had no problems in the past, be having trouble with the signal? If anyone else who owns this game could comment and let me know whether or not they've also experienced this, I'd appreciate it.

I've never seen any of those problems on a cheap ass tv or on a hdtv

IGN mentioned the occasional slowdown, and many reviews mentioned the screen tearing. It's unsightly, but I can live with it (God of War 2 has the same problem).
