Lord of the Rings Online (Europe Beta)
Since the NDA has finaly been lifted i can talk about this here and post some screenshots ^^
Well i'm really enjoying the game, it is very similar to WoW, and when i say very i mean very, almost every feature from WoW is here, and more. Which, imo is a good thing, because i never did enjoy WoW design, infact it makes me nauseous. So now i can enjoy WoW gameplay in a design, and theme, that i enjoy. Graphicly the game isn't really impressive, its OK, but not stunning, only 2 things impressed me in the game, first was a field of flowers, that was beautifully done, the way it moved and the way shadows we're cast on it (i'll see if i can go back there and post some screenshots), the other thing was sun reflection on the water (i will also try to post some screenshots of that). The game uses a technique to simulate depth of field, it replaces models in the distance with REALLY REALLY blurry models/textures, it works better then it sounds Particle effects are also pretty decent. One thing i'm enjoying in the game is the amount of quests it has, it has TONS of them, all the levelling i've been doing was solely from quests. It also has a nice feature called Achievements, they're hidden goals that you only find out they exists when you start doing them, and once you finish them you gain either a new title for your name, or Traits that give you bonuses. Anyway here are some screenshots: If your also playing in the beta feel free to PM me
