FFXI Trial pass?

Hey i was just wondering if anyone had any trial passes for FFXI. I've always wanted to try this game for the longest time, but never had the money.

It's pretty addictive...and if you can't afford it now, and you get hooked, how are you going to pay for the monthly bill ?

Should've asked around Christmas, I gave away my account to a buddy of mine that still has the friend invite...oh well .

In what way?

PSO was a 4-player game with a futuristic sci-fi setting, with a spaceship and robots.

FFXI is a MMORPG with a fantasy medieval setting, with a big tree and catgirls.

I don't see where they intersect.

having a monthly pircing just to play a game is riddiculus, which is why i will forever refuse to even touch any game that requires a monthly pircing.

for anyone thinking of playing the game i highly suggest you walk away and go try maybe vanguard or something else if you want an mmo to play. i played it for over 2 years and it onl;y kept getting worse and worse with the gil selling and market inflation that shot prices up to 4-5 times the original costs if not higher, i heard it got better but it will never return to normal, a lot of people are pushed to almost have to buy gil just to get a really decent start in the game now or resort to other methods just as bad. i sold my account off to get rid of it cause of how bad it got, people will do anything to steal from you in the game these days, if you do not believe just go ask around on a very popular ffxi forum, i was from titan server, name was swatgodjr. well just thought i warn a few people before making a bad mistake.
