Question Question About Prey's Install size

I'm just wondering how long of a game is Prey and how many hours of gameplay can I expect out of it?

I am asking this because the Install size of Prey is about 1.6 Gigabytes. It is about Half of a fresh install of FEAR and most other games. Also the Size of the data on the DVD itself is small as well at 1.6 gigs.

I hope the game is not that short, it'd be a waste with such nice textures/Graphics/Gameplay if the game was extremely short and didn't really have much to it.

Can Anyone explain why the install size of Prey is so small compared to other FPS and other games? Or is the game really that short?

Thanks if Anyone can let me know that has played Prey all the way through

I don't want to feel as if I wasted my money in turn for a game that is short played and short lived.

Nope, I don't think the game is shorter than FEAR in regards to hours of play time (I played both) probably it's because FEAR has more effects and stuff compared to Prey.

Thanks for your reply. I was afraid of it being significantly shorter than other FPS.

1.6 Gigs is about a Full install of Red Faction 2, except RF2 is about 200 megs short of 1.6 gigs, and Red Faction 2 was very quick to get to the Final Boss.

Speaking of Boss fights while I'm at it, does Prey or FEAR contain any Boss Fights, or are you only fighting normal enemies throughout the Game?

I would check gamefaqs, however I don't want anything spoiled, ruined or revealed before I get a chance to see it myself, as I'm not that far through either of the games

well where i use to live, the guy installed it and he said its one of the longest games hes ever played FPS wise, hes played F.E.A.R but he didnt say this was longer or shorter, so i cant vouch for that, but it took him a good 2 weeks of near constant playing to complete it.

umm... i'd say possibly heavy compression of files required on the hard drive and maybe loading some essential data files from the disc when needed.

Thanks

My second question that hasn't been answered yet, and if anyone can answer it that have played both FEAR and Prey is:

Is there any Boss Fights in either Prey or FEAR, or do you only fight normal enemies throughout the whole game?

Like I said I would check Gamefaqs, however I don't want anything spoiled or revealed too soon before I experience it for my self. All I want to know is if there is any boss fights in these two games.

Thank You

Prey consists of a few major boss encounters.. some of which are challenging. The graphics really set off the ambience. While not as scary as doom3 and such Prey's enemies are no slouches when it comes to intimidating you. There are a host of enemies that I havn't seen similar in any game.. Prey is worth the install. The weapons and Bosses are great. I really want to play through it again now.. It's that good. Look at the magazine reviews.. i mean come on, just install it and play for a bit. youll be hooked. If your worried then install the demo first. Thats usually what i do before i buy a game or whatever. The game is good. It competes with Quake 4 on FPS goodness.
The PC version is far superior than the Xbox360 version as well. Check this page out. Prey: PC Versus Xbox 360 - Features at GameSpot Also Prey's game engine is so finely tuned that out of the top handfull of great FPS that are out now Prey gets the most Frames per second on any system. If you have an adequite system then crank those visuals up!
