Why is this in open discussion?

Anyway, Baldur's Gate 2 owns any Final Fantasy, better characters, better character interaction, a real badguy, and far better replayability. One of the best games ever made.

Final Fantasy 7 is the RPG you MUST play.
Just to mention a game that I think no one will mention. I thoroughly enjoyed a game called Septerra core. Very much like Final Fantasy, with some pretty good graphics.

Final Fantasy IV-X, Seiken Densetsu 2 & 3, Suikoden 1 & 2, Grandia I, Lufia II, Terranigma, Illusion of Time, Breath of Fire I - IV, Star Ocean 1 & the 2nd Story, Zelda - Link's Awakening, Zelda - Ocarina of Time, Zelda - Majora's Mask, Tales of Eternia

I really love the SNES and PSX games meantioned above. And i also have played the sequells for PS2, but they just cant keep up with the oldies.
Better graphics, worse gameplay. Not always, but mostly.

This again?

Aw well, I'm a big fan of the Tales of series, Tales of Eternia being my favourite. Apart from that I really love the RPG's made by the Tri-Ace team, the Star Ocean series, Valkyrie Profile...

I recently got that for the PSP, your recommendation has placed it high on my list of games to play.

As for myself:

Final Fantasy 6, 7, 8
Grandia 2
The Adventures of Alundra
Chrono Trigger
Terranigma

For favourites, I'll just name them by series: Suikoden, Front Mission, Final Fantasy, Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale, Shadow Hearts, Xenogears/saga, Diablo, and Elder Scrolls. There's also a decent amount of love for Valkyrie Profile.

I've played Front Mission on SNES, yes, but I was talking more about the PS1/2 versions. Didn't like 'em, eh?

I'll be honest when I say make picks aren't based on anything from the 16-bit days.
