***UPDATE***

Yup that nuclear explosion is amazing.

IGN: Crytek Project Video 1929540 (HQ streaming) for those that haven't checked out that full new trailer with that explosion in the end of the vid like D.D. posted.

Alternative (worse quality): GameVideos.com - GDC: Crysis 'Special Effects' trailer

And also this vid showing the beautiful level editor:

I wouldn't mind.

I'm starting to lag behind the current graphical trend too, with my ageing PC and the by now quite old PS2... it's gonna be though for a while

I'm sure you've got a PS3 planned for the next Gran Turismo?

I have no idea.
Actually, it's almost uncalled for that I'm getting TDU at all, seeing the number of racers I bought that I still haven't played all that much

I believe the game is supposed to scale so its playable on anything from a GeForce2 type machine to current technology. Of course for the DX10 visuals your gonna need a DX10 card, but Im guessing the current DX10 cards on the market wont be able to handle it on higher settings, we all know how poorly first generation cards always turn out to be.

You mean the game being playable on a card that doesn't even support pixel shaders at all That would be impressive to say the least. And I wonder if gameplay and cutscenes will be the same if you don't have the pure processing power. But I'll wait and see

Sounds like wishful thinking to me. Crytek didn't even properly support DX7 with CryEngine 1 why would they do so with a next gen product? Not even VALVe's Source does that properly and their games appeal to a much broader audience.

Closed Beta testers are claiming 60fps at 720P.
