Advent Children does nothing to imrove on the game's storyline.
Basicly,it's just Cloud against three brothers(the 'tard brothers)who want to revive Sephiroth(which they manage to do) and conquer/destroy the world.
The only thing that was good in the movie were fighting scenes, but Cloud seeing as he is now a god has the amazing power of deflecting bullets with his googles, not getting hurt trough the whole movie and power of one hit KO Sephiroth.
FF DoC sucks big time.
The game is totally boring and SqueEnix should never venture into the realm of FPS games...never!
The story is about Vincent and it reveals some little info about his past(all of that you can probably find on wikipedia) and some "evil terrorist organization" which has been under Shinra for one gajillion years.
In all,i find it not worth getting AC and DoC.

FF7 DoC, Was pretty good if you,ve ever played it, and not believed the critics.

And FF7 AC, ill admit the story was crap, but everything else was great.

I have it and i've played it.
Trough the whole game you fight with two different types of enemies, the bosses are patheticly weak, and the game is 100% linear.
The only thing that might be worth getting is the secret ending, but that is available on youtube so there is no reason to play FF DoC.
Both DoC and AC were made just to milk more money from FF7 fans.

I like the movie. It brings nice resemblances of the game. But the movie is too short IMO.

FF7:AC was pretty sweet IMO, but it doesn't really contain anything that made FF7 great, except the characters. Definitely watch it in Japanese; the English dub isn't that bad, but it's still a dub.

I have only watched the japanese version. Are the dub character voices cool at least?

If you've watched the sub version first, you will eat your ears, spit them out and eat them again if you watch the dub(yes,i have watched both versions).

im waiting to see if square is going to do this expansion thing for more of the ff games. like, would they end up making expansions for FFIV, FFV, FFVI, FFVIII, etc.? i mean, they did it with ffX, they are re-using the world of ivalice (the world from ff tactics) in several of its games now, like FFXII, and FF tactics advanced. before X-2 came out, the ff games never had extensions. but now it seems they are abandoning that tradition. i think it will be intresting to see what other ff games will get expanded upon. although i dont think the stuff they have been releasing is up to par with some of the more classic ff style stuff, you never know when another good addition to the series will come by.

Various spinoffs and sequels/prequels have come out when Square merged with Enix.
The only good game Enix ever made was Dragon Quest, everything else was pure crap.

Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus are both great! Don't listen to anyone bashing Dirge of Cerberus, the Story is awesome and the gameplay rocks. It is seriously one of the best shooter games I've played, even better than the Devil May Cry series in my eyes, and I love the Devil May Cry series It forges my favorite RPG with awesome shooter gameplay...it really doesn't get any better for me. Who cares if the gameplay is linear...that's what I love about it! I'm tired of all of these games that require an infinite amount of time to beat it...I want to play through a game, beat it, and move on to the next . If you loved FFVII (which I certainly do...beat it seven times ironically), you'll love AC and DoC, enough said

i know, im just waiting to see if they start making spinoffs or expansions for the ff games that came before ff7. 6 would be intresting to see more of but it could easily be screwed up.
