Oblivion not installing

Okay i have oblivion right and i have it installed on 2 of my pcs but they are only single core with 256 meg video so it sucks, and my father got our new quad core board running with a dual core processor running at 6.4ghz i beileve with brand new xp pro with service pack 3 and 512 meg vid card and tera byte of space and 2 gigs of ram . and yes it sounds like im bragging but im happy Now to the prob I have real disk and i put it in and it goes to installer and once it goes to installing screen with pics no pics show up and nothing installs and if anything only DSETUP.dll is there and still dont do anything. Now could this be because computer too good or something?
