The Witcher
Well now during some surfing I stumbled upon a game called "The Witcher". It's an upcoming RPG which is more mature and grim than Oblivion and Neverwinter Nights 2. It's using the Aurora engine, which was used for Neverwinter Nights 1, but from what I can see they use a modified Electron engine, which was the name given to the NWN2 engine. The game looks better than NWN2, and hopefully it will perform better as well seeing how they opted for lightmaps rather than having lighting calculated realtime, and the game isn't focused on a toolset. The story is based on a Polish fantasy novel, but like said it's more mature than your average Dungeons and Dragons story, involving mutant humans, violence, titties, violence, bribery, booze and violence. Somehow it doesn't surprise me there isn't a US release date yet ![]() IGN has a video preview up which made me really interested in the game. In it he explains some of the features, and also says how they haven't signed up with a publisher. At this moment they have signed with Atari Europe, no US release date has been set yet. It is supposed to come out in Q2 of this year, in May according to Gamefaqs. I hope Atari isn't going to force them to rush this product to prevent it from turning into another NWN2. Screenshots can be found here

lol well back then they didn't have a publisher, so I don't hope that signing up with Atari somewhere in the past couple of months forced them to rush the final part. It seems the only two games on my wish list are ones that have been in development for a rather long time, the other one being Stalker

Like Splatt, I've heard about this one a long time ago. I would hope they're almost done delaying the game.

i was impressed by the girl in the green shirt in the video preview from IGN.. dude she was hot.. ahaha. Aside from that, i havn't played NWN2 but if it's based off that engine, i kinda like it. I have NWN Diamond but im getting rid of it because it was quite buggy.. Anyways looks to be a great game, awesome textures and lighting. The cinematics were up to par with some of square's work. Nice game. Keep us up to date on this.. ahaha.. Now if i can someday get my hands on Hellgate i shall be happy!
