knowledge SOMETIMES builds a nice foundation for questions, if u think mkv or ogm are codecs ir wrong ( look at wikipedia),

for ur "media" problem.

-> Buy a PS3 install Linux watch everything u want , as u want with Mplayer.

PS3 is $200 more and can't connect with Windows Media Edition. also, why the hostile attitude? Right now i've got a PC stuffed behind my TV desk but it's rather bulky and loud for the job.

Bulky and loud? Laptop is your friend.....

If I remember correctly, there are homebrew applications in the X-Box that allows just that. I'm not sure on X-Box 360 though, I suggest looking at the X-Box 360 homebrew websites/community, if any exists.

Right now, aside from HD DVD, PS3 plays pretty much everything so it's recommended for a media player... if telling you about buying a PS3 is considered hostile then... I don't know how to put it anymore. :/ Currently, the 360, like the PS3, doesn't support any kind of media codec update for its firmware so... yeah. You're stuck with what you have.

[23:03:07] <Neverm0re> hmm, I can always look at them but references is far to be a thing that I need.
[23:03:39] <Neverm0re> and I do believe representing the members the way I think they are is quite cool because they are stars
[23:04:15] <Neverm0re> of course, some are over exagerated like miretank who has an afro

XD
thats the best post regarding that topic!

BTW:
i just recently "heard" a Xbox 360 in Action... and if thats device is not bulky and loud *_* ur PC must be a Horror.

IMO: i dont see Windows Media Edition as an advantage..

For My "Media" Streaming i use a laptop and some Capables connected to my TV. If u want more install on a PC MythTV , there are also guides which show u how u can control ur PC using Bluetooth as remote control , so enjoy that.
