Talking Most addictive games ever...?

Which game has drawn you into their world so bad you simply must finish the game and see that ending?
Yes, typical fan ! For me, games from FF7,8 and 9 are the most addictive. The music and the feel is all very enthralling and looking at those environments in the screenshots thread just makes you wanna play them all over again. Back in the early years, I also remember playing Mortal Kombat 2 on my genesis every single day. I couldnt get enough violence with the fatalities! it was one of the coolest games around.

Which games have been the most addictive in your life??

For me:
-The elders scrolls 3:Morrowind;for its infinite gameplay.
-Prince of persia sands of time;not long but intense.
-Soul reaver and legacy of kain series; What a scenario!
-Rayman 3;just for the fun and psychedelic bonus levels!
-Silent hill on psx;for the great an disturbing ambiance!
-And last F.e.a.r; for the great A.I.

Ah yeah I must add MGS1 for the developped themes and the very charismatic Snake.

Silent Hill 3, Streets of Rage 2, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Super Mario Bros. (I could never beat the game when I was younger so I was determined to beat one way or another. I always hated it when I thought I beat the real Bowser but then I realized that I didn't .)

The Shenmue Saga, Grandia 2 and Baldur's Gate 2 had me addicted the most because of the quests and story, FF7 and FF8 could be mentioned as well.

Baldr Force Exe had me hooked for days because of the gameplay, hell I think this game is the sole reason for the analog thumbpad of my DC controller being worn out.

Good news: New Baldr games will be released: Baldr Bullet Revellion on pc has been released today and Baldr Force Exe Resolution will be released on PS2 soonish... bastards I want a DC port.

Phantasy Star Online - i used to play this game so long i would fall asleep mid-game!

Timesplitters series Virus mode- me and my friend always have to get in some virus mode, and its one of those "one more game" types where you end up playing more than "one more"

Crazy Taxi
Contra
Age of Empires 2- one of those games where it feels like you only played for 30min, turns out its been 3 hours...

puyo puyo series
herzog zwei
Guardian Legend
Castlevania:SotN
simcity
etc.

hell... could go on for a while... but, yeah... just a few of those games that i tend to lose myself in, or just can't get enough of, no matter how many times i played them.

I say morrowind as well, the amount of content is incredible. I find Oblivion much less involved content wise.

I still play that game to this day. I would probably win the biggest geek award for this, but I actually ripped the music from the game and burned it on a cd and I also tried making different mixes of them in a sequencer . LOL. It has THE BEST music out of all of the games from the 16 bit era IMO.
