Resident Evil 4 running on Pcsx2?

I am trying to get resident evil 4 running on Pcsx2 and it seems to be very slow and really unplayable. Here is a break down what i have in my pc at the moment, Amd 64 2.21Ghz, Geforce 7800 GT, and 1 Gig of ram. Is there anyway that i can configure pcsx2 to run this game smoothly or am i just out of luck?
