As far as I know Atomiswave isn't emulated yet, that's why I said that I wanted the SNK titles from the PS2, like KOF Neowave.

Atomisware/Naomi won't be emulated, at least by the MAME team, as long as the hardware is supported in the arcade, they've *Mame devs* said they don't want new games emulated, like what happened with Neogeo...

I second that

Btw, I heard a rumor that the Chankast team emulated the naomi arcade, is that true?
If that's true then they are the best candidates to emulate atomiswave.

It's true, elecbyte is dead - but the program remains.
The last version released was working quite ok, so that's what the mugen community is using.
If you check around the web you'll notice that they still create and rip chars for it.

Try Eternal Fighter Zero (a japanese doujinshi game), which is funny, and suprisingly deep. There's also a net patch somewhere.

Another cool doujinsi game would be Touhou Suimusou (I forgot the english title), the gameplay mechanic is quite similar to Capcom's Cyberbots.

I also second Little Fighters II as a side-scroller alternative to the one in GG Isuka.

Initial D v4 while we're at it, then

as close as the hw is, it's still a bit unlikely.

Taito's HW is even closer to a PC, though..uhm no, IS a PC

Virtua Fighter 5 was released in Japanese arcades on July 12 2006 but i guess no one succesfully dumped it so far ( it has advanced protections ) .
Here's the Lindbergh page on wikipedia . The OS is Linux ( Kernel 2.4.20 ) and the video card is Nvidia 6800, 256bit .
