i've never played it, the graphics look pretty amazing though (for GBA that is).

The opening cinematic is actually a compressed video -- same as ending. Looks great, too, aside from the lower resolution. But nobody who played it cared -- it was an FMV on the GBA. Rock.

The gameplay itself is kinda sorta lacking, though. Leveling takes forever, and you have to do it once you get to the last world in the game, since the second(third?) to last boss is a real pain in the ass. The card idea was cool, but not completely polished -- in the end, I stopped caring which card I was using (it just gets too crazy for you to care) and just kinda swung away at the enemy. The story is great, and serves as a great suppliment to Kingdom Hearts II (You seriously wont know who half the characters in the Organization are if you haven't played Chain of Memories), but jsut short of essential. Oh, and the second playthrough with Riku -- a little faster, but also a bit on the dull side, due to it's stripped-down battle system. But again, I played it for the story.

I dont really like it much.Have to find the correct cards to open the door, fighting system suck and the gameplay is pretty long.

is very VERY nice, as SAID

And maybe the game would be funnier for those who have played
Kingdom Hearts (ps2) ?

well, i'll be damned. i've never played it, but this girl showed me the trailer and she was like THOSE ARE THE REAL GAME GRAPHICS OMG!!!!!!! and i kept telling her no, but now i know, just an FMV.

That's exactly why i thought it was bery boring. I had just finished Kh and then i started this and the action slowed down from 100 to 10 mph. At the middle of the game i just keep pushing the button without paying attention at what card i was using.

I played it but i didn't go much long. It has the best looking gfx on GBA imo. But that's not enough to make me go on

and not even donald

. I prefer waiting for FF6 on GBA ^_^

Gameplay isn't that good. And that's main problem. Also the whole concept of KH where some kids fight along disney characters doesn't amaze me. That's why I dislike KH in general (Even if I was very interested when I saw the first concept arts of KH1.

Gunstar Super Heroes, Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission, and Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga -- I can guarantee you that you can find nothing like those on the PS2 (considering Sony's "Up yours" stance on 2D developers).

Also, let us take a moment to thank God for sending the DS to save the realm of 2D gaming as we know it.

It can be. It's about the gameplay and the way it's implemented. I didn't like hte cards and there were times when all the action was sooo crazy that you didn't have too much time to check what card you were using. If they used something simpler, as the Kh's interface it could be funnier.

I felt the same in the beggining and that's why the game was in my shelves collecting dust until august 05. I felt stupid and dumb having to use a kid along with Donald and Goofy for main characters. It felt boring when you visited 2 or 3 worlds but at the middle of the game it turned out very interesting and addictive and i couldn't let it go. At the end i realized i cared about the main characters and i wanted to know what was next. The only other games that i have played without let them go were FFVII, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears and Xenosaga Ep.1 so this one has to be good.
Don't worry, at the middle of the game you'll forget you are fighting with Goofy and Donald by your side.

Kingdom Hearts: com is a very good game but i was kind of bored because i knowed in every world what will happen next the only thing why i played much further was that the story between the worlds was very intresting but i never knewed that you can play another time with riku a kind of a different story. Can anyone send me the Savegame where i can play the story with Riku? i Delted mine because i thought the game is over and there isnt more. sh**
