Vagrant Story

How can this game be considered a great PS1 RPG? i personally think its **** so far, ive played for 3 hours have about 15% of game done and i am not impressed at all, i mean real time battle is cool an all, but so many elements make it bad, Theres no leveling up, wich sucks, im guessin you never get teammates for a party, The story so far is stupid. And it seems like its going to be a dungeon the whole freakin game, have yet to see a world map or any sort of shop to buy things. Maybe i just havent gotten far enough yet but so far its leaving a sour taste in my mouth, Any comments guys?

Can't say... I've tried to find that game but it seems that it's no longer available in here. I've heard that it doesn't suit everybody, but more than that... Why don't you go and read about it, gamefaqs or somewhere else?

I just got valkeriye profile, legend of the dragoon and all the FF's and breath of fire 4 dont kno what eles to pick up. I dont own a ps2 but my sister who neevr lets me play it does, so im going to check out this PS2 emulator if it works well i might start picking up some PS2 titals, but for now ima stick to the ps1's

You won't be able to play any PS2 games on PC yet. As for Vagrant Story, while I wasn't as impressed as most reviewers were, I did find the story to be good enough. Gameplay wise, some things were iffy.

On-Topic: Well, I enjoyed it, but it did have some pacing problems at one point or another.

If someone's opinion is diffrent than yours don't flame them, diffrent people have diffrent taste, for example I didn't enjoy Super Mario 64 while alot of people did

One of the fault in this game I think of is there is no voice over in this game, it is so lame to have the game going on for serveral hours without hear a human voice. And the whole story focus on the main character too much I think, it would be less boring if the story focus on 3 or more characters. The story is cool, the way of story telling can be better.

Voice overs weren't as common back then as they are today. However, the game was probably short enough that it could have been fit on 2 CDs should voices have been included.

Hm... I think that Vagrant Story is a pretty good game, maybe you people
haven't got far enough... anyway i have beat the game and i had so much fun
playing trough it.

I love that real time-battle system and chain system too... and i also like those
parts where you have to put boxes to be able to get to the next room, or
that part where you need to pass the snowing forrest, it took me a ages
to pass trough that...

And I don't care if there are no human voices, I have played FFs so I'm used to it...

well dungeons are trough most of the game, but also there are parts where you can play outside, in the town.
