Great Playstation RPGS
Hey new to the forums just recently got the epsx emulator so far working great with my FF9. Was wondering if anyone could suggest any good Playstation 1 RPG'S besides the FF series. Since now i got a job at gamestop i got 50% off and can just pick up any game i want :P, Also I noticed there was a section in the forum about a PS2 emulator. Ive heard only rumors about them and if so its not a rumor is it worth downloading and if so does it work? Thx, o and also i already picked up all the Wild arms for PS1 any other suggestions?

Chrono Cross is up at the top of the list, that is for sure. I think they named them all, but out of those, Chrono Cross, Legend of Dragoon, Valkyrie Profile, Lunar 2, Grandia, Star Ocean 2, and Vagrant stories are the ones that I feel are the best. I also suggest Brave Fencer Musashi as well. As for your question about the ps2 emulator, it is not just a rumor and there is a real working ps2 emulator called: PCSX2. It is still very much a work in progress though, so although many games to start, they will only run at a fraction of real game speed (even with the best computer you could buy). Speed will get better over time though, but I do feel it is worth checking out.

I'd avoid playing Grandia unless you like stories about prepubescent children. And definetly don't touch Legend of Mana. The rest of the named games are fine.

Vagrant Story Wild Arms Castlevania: SotN Brave Fencer Musashi wild arms is a more traditional console rpg, the rest are action/rpg types. oh, steer clear of those "final fantasy" games... j/k

But damn! all the good RPG's are already mentioned... But I gotta agree with Legend of Dragoon and Chrono Cross, if you find those, buy those!
