Sonic the Hedgehog - PS3/360
http://www.gametrailers.com/player.p...pe=wmv&pl=game Quite a hefty download (390mb!!), but what you get is a 16 minute HD video of realtime gameplay. Running, may I add, on a PS3. Apparently both versions look identical, but the PS3 version is sharper. Needless to say, it looks fantastic. |

I'm a little dissapointed with the graphics. Yea, they ramped up the draw distance and used some fancy particle effects, but the overall difference from Sonic Heroes is pretty marginal. I wish they'd return to the graphic style of the Genesis Sonic games. They had a really distinctive style that made them stand out. The gameplay doesn't look like much of a step up either. Judging by the performance of the guy playing in the video, most of the control problems from the other 3D Sonic games are still present. The return of branching levels is about the only thing of significance to gameplay that they seem to have added. *sigh*, watching the sonic series gradually decomposing into this crap is really becoming painful to watch. |

still dlding (was using an oldy pc before that doesn't understand many of todays' sites). Pre-seeing trailer: What I've seen so far: a fancy looking Sonic Adventure. Pretty, but similar to the previous. If that's good? I LOVED the first Sonic Adventure, and I quite like the second. Sonic Heroes is a good game. Shadow the Hedgehog sucks. Maybe they showed too much of the same, or they really did go down in style... actually, I think the latter. SA1 and 2 are marvellous, and which you prefer is mostly a matter of taste. Sonic Heroes is good, but doesn't touch that level (even though it's much more closer to the original games). Shadow the Hedgehog is a quite retarded dissapointment. It's a good thing that at the same time Sonic Rush (DS) came out, which showed Sonic's roots and why I liked it in the first place at all. The PS3/Xbox360 game looks like Sonic Adventure, but with the CG from that game acted out in realtime, which is really cool. I never opposed the direction they took with the first Sonic Adventure (it´s actually my favourite Sonic game, and one of the few games I bought twice), but I´m still waiting for a title that surpasses that. I hope this is the one

To me, the first SA is much like Metal Gear; it's a playable movie. I hope the new one is like that.

I've still to play more than five minutes of the Sonic Adventure games. I find them a bit hard to control, like they've tried to do Mario 64 with it, but tried to tack on the speed of Sonic. Sonic Heroes was alright though. BTW: Anyone else notice juuuussst hooow slow Silver was? Oh man, I'm not looking forward to playing as him. |

dunno...I quite got the hang of those controls, allthough there's the occasional error, but mainly due to camera issues.

The controls aren't that bad for the Sonic parts imo. I can forgive some camera problems as well. The only things I can not forgive are those new gameplay modes with Knuckles and Tails in SA2, I play them because I have to, but all I want is more of the Sonic levels.

Well - if it plays like SA ,I'm going to lose some sleep again, I loved what they done with it - and the camera angles just takes some getting used to. Sonic heroes wasn't too bad either - Can't wait to give this game a try
