Ok now that I've made the buy (360) I need some software :)

This will be hardest thing to do I guess...
What games to buy, problem is I have all the blockbusters on PC, Oblivion, CoD2, GRAW and player TRL on my PS2
(Condemned is scary and I can't play it )
.
So I was planing on geting Kameo, Far Cry game (you get 2 for one) and Halo2 (never played any of the Halos)

Instead of Kameo I might go for either CoD2 or GRAW for MP but only one of the two.

What other games I should look into? If possible either long games or with great replayability, so I get my moneys worth.
Thank you for your time!

I was also thinking PGR3 and perhaps some sport game for replayability or MP.

So all in all 3 max 4 games I can get now.

Final Fantasy XI, Full Auto (funny game, looks like Twisted Metal, but better) FEAR and Call Of Duty 2 (both on PC), Chromehounds.

Or wait for the next great games: Sonic The Hedgehog Next-Gen, Resident Evil 5...

P.S: Condemned: Criminal Origins is great How old are you?

I'm more of RPG player but FPS are only things 360 seems to offer right now. Plus there is MP with them so I think I'll buy a few FPS games

What do you guys like/play?

Get Oblivion if you want an RPG. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is probably the best FPS if you want one of those.

Actually its Perfect Dark Zero. I have the game, but it isn't one of the best Xbox 360 games in terms of graphics. Simply put: It's James Bond, only this time, you're the babe. Nice gameplay IMO. I also have G.R.A.W., which is more of a third person shooter (there is an option for first). G.R.A.W. has good graphics and gameplay, I enjoy it quite a bit.

Did you see the Halo 3 Announcement Trailer yet?

Right now the top selling game for the 360 is Oblivion. I haven't tried Far Cry Predator yet, but Far Cry Instincts for the Xbox was loads of fun.

I already played Oblivion and have it on PC for the mods. So PDZ isn't that nice? Heard a lot of stuff about it... some love it some hate it.

Can someone explain to me
how does this reputation and achivement thingie work? Is there points to be gained for each game and can they be gained over and over again or?

Also how does MP work? You see a list of servers and than join them or? Is there a lot of people playing online?

i wouldn't go to that extreme. id say around 1/2 of the "best" games are ported.

I can't believe in all this time no one has mentioned DOA4. It's pretty much the best 360 game release to date.

Why don't you use Gamefly rental service. $60 a pop is alot of money for game that your being recommended and never played. I played DOA Extreme and is probably my favorite fighting game on the Xbox. So DOA4 should be similar.

Oh on Farcry make sure you rent and see how it plays with 4 player split screen. My friend rented it on Xbox and it lagged on 4 player split screen. Since Xbox 360 Far Cry is two games in one of Xbox version you should check it out first. When i played it i thought it was really cool game second too Halo 2.

I'm getting myself Xbox 360 too and gonna pick up Call of Duty 2, borrow my cousins Halo 2 game for awhile, and Project Gotham 3 (comes with bundle). Can't afford anything after that and probably use Gamefly until i get more money.

Sadly I don't know of anyone providing similar service here in Europe/Sweden But that is ok, I've got trough PSX and PS2 era on recomendations alone

I like most of the games, but they must not feel short or I'll feel I havent got my moneys worth from the game. Hate myself for such things. So it is either good MP or replayability that will keep me satisfied.

Think I'll start with: GRAW, Halo2 and PGR3 for starters. Next is either PDZ or FC...
What are some nice upcoming 360 games?

Rep is acquired through people you play with online. Similar to the Halo 2 feedback system, other players you encounter on Live can rate your overall attitude as a gamer, which translates into the stars.

Achievements are just tasks (some optional, some required, some hidden, some obvious, some offline, some online) that once you achieve in game, add points to your gamerscore. The difficulty of the achievement is usually directly related to the points gained.

The method of online play is left up to the game manufacturer. Most will use a host/client method, but there are a few that have dedicated servers. Halo 2 is unique in that its matchmaking system dynamically matches players of "similar skill" together and tests to automatically determine the best host for the group.

If you ask me, PDZ was pretty much terrible compared to its predecessor which was a legend back in the 64 days considering it was pretty much the spiritual sequel to Goldeneye. So if you want Perfect Dark, I would recommend playing it on the 64 or emulating it.
