Good FPS for PS2 (except BLACK)

Could you give me a few?

A fair few people I know tend to recommend Killzone, can't really think of others, I'm a PC FPS player at heart

[23:03:07] <Neverm0re> hmm, I can always look at them but references is far to be a thing that I need.
[23:03:39] <Neverm0re> and I do believe representing the members the way I think they are is quite cool because they are stars
[23:04:15] <Neverm0re> of course, some are over exagerated like miretank who has an afro
[23:05:30] <HC_Rikki> were the herpes and other discutable features necessary ?

Its more of an Arcade style, but the PS2 Timecrisis and Crisis Zone games are worth taking a look at.

Yes, infact I would recommend the whole series if you haven't played it.

As for others, I would recommend PS2's version of Half-Life if you've never had a chance to play it on the PC, plus it has the (soon-to-be-not-so) exclusive co-op game, Half-Life Decay.

Also, Tribes Aerial Assault and Deus Ex The Conspiracy come to mind, both great games.

You can also give the Red Factions and Medal of Honor a try.

Red Faction is definitely amongst the best FPS for the PS2. Fantastic multiplayer too. Killzone was heavily hyped because of it's visuals, avoid it! It really isn't that great a game.

If you want the best MP experience though, Timesplitters, any of them holds that crown.

TimeSplitters 2 used to be a prime feature in my old multiplayer nights (the co-op mode was supreme after a couple of beers). I played the demo of Killzone and it looks alright. The general consensus I believe though is that it never met the hype.

You ostracised Black. I take it you've already played it. I just got it on eBay, is it any good?

BTW: Keyboard + Mouse FTW.

While I agree that in general terms PC gaming has the upperhand over console games, the PC (specifically the internet and those who use it) makes multiplayer gaming a total plague. The one thing that I enjoy about multiplayer on console games is that if you are playing over the internet, most games have limited forms of chatting (or just extremely frustrating ones) which reduces arguements/rants/whining/ePeen in-game and the like. Which is a big plus.

Edit: Ontopic, if you haven't given 007 Nightfire a try then I recommend you do so. Even if you only rent it, it's one of the closest (relatively, compared to the other disasters that they call "James Bond games") things we've had to Goldeneye even though the singleplayer is terrible, the multiplayer can be fairly decent.
