Beta testing a ps3!

A friend of mine emailed Sony to ask for a testing version of their ps3. it may sound unbelievable but they agreed to allow him to test some ps2 games on it. He sends them feedback on the tests and are about to give him ps3 games to test as well! And all he had to pay for was the packaging/delivery.

Is anyone else aware that Sony allow the public to beta test their console and their games??

Unless your mate lets you lick, kiss and photograph the PS3 with some kind of fool proof method of evidence...like urm...putting a postit note saying "ahar I've got a PS3 r0x0r j00 a$$'s" on it, I'd be more likely to believe someone had the entire interweb on a 1GB maxtor HDD

And SEGA gave me a call if I was willing to test some DC games for their new console. Of course I never recieved the system because I was immediately bragging about it on forums, but it is teh truth!!!

Theres no such thing as a PS3 yet, only devkits, and i seriously doubt your friend got one.

Right given you would have to pay a fortune for the dev kit and associated license, all testing is done in-house or by professional teams. Your friend would have to of signed a non-disclosure contract.

Also I doubt your mate has the foggiest what a dev unit looks like, and what it contains, how to use it, or the fact it's a noisey little batard.
