Colin McRae 2007 Announced

I love CMR series. I thought CMR 05 is the last one.

Quote:
After a two-year break for the series, Codemasters Studios' designers are back creating a totally reinvigorated McRae experience. The new Colin McRae title will go beyond the series' point-to-point rallying to deliver the most diverse selection of extreme off-road competitions. Sensational gravel, mud and dirt racing events from the world over will include perilous Hill Climb and collision-packed Rally Cross events.

International rallying competitions will also feature, with official cars on tracks based on real roads and locations around the globe. The title will also expand on beat-the-clock racing and include events with multiple cars on track to satisfy anyone who wants to push their on-the-edge driving just that bit further.

With official cars and official events across a wide variety of off-road and rally disciplines, the most authentic and thrilling tracks ever in a McRae game, modes that make the most of online multiplayer and the series' trademark intuitive car handling system tuned to perfection, Colin McRae Rally is evolving and will appear on next-generation systems in 2007.

In its recently released E3 trailer for Call of Duty 3, Activision confirmed the war title will arrive on all next-generation platforms this fall, including Nintendo's Wii.

Activision said the following regarding the announcement to IGN: "Through the eyes of four Allied soldiers, Call of Duty 3 brings players closer to the fury of combat as they fight through the Normandy Breakout, the harrowing offensive that liberated Paris and changed the fate of the world. Developed by Treyarch, Call of Duty 3 is the follow up to the #1 next-generation game and is scheduled for a 2006 release."

Yesterday Activision executives held a conference call and revealed that the company has three titles planned for the launch of Nintendo's next console. Now with this announcement, Call of Duty 3, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance appear to be the titles expected to arrive this fall at or around Wii's launch.

Activision did not clarify if Call of Duty 3 will be playable at E3 next week for Wii or any platform.

The official E3 trailer for Call of Duty 3 can be viewed here.
Rumours suggest that this is an adaptation of a previous release. It’s likely it could be part of the series that has appeared on PS2/Xbox, most recently as Big Red One, and not developed by Infinity Ward.
Rumours suggest that the real Call of Duty 3 will still be developed for PC and next-gen consoles by Infinity Ward for a 2007 release.

Any CoD game is good and all, but why the hell did you hijack Colin McRae's thread with it?

You're far from alone on that one.
