SEGA announces Sonic Rivals (for PSP)

Sega finishes confirming the development of Sonic Rivals in exclusive for PlayStation Portable (PSP)

The game will be a game of races and platforms with a classic 2D mixed with great graphics in 3D. We will be able to choose to one of the four personages of the Sonic universe (each one with its own history); one will be fastest, but also the one that raises one better strategy. The game will be in second half of the year and is being developed by Backbone Entertainment, a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment. All the information of this title will be in next E3 2006.

Well Sonic games on handhelds for some reason turn out better than their console brothers...This is 3d and from I can tell its a different engine. I am still not going out of my way to get a PSP...NEXT!

It looks alright. I hope they polish it up a bit more, just looks to bland; I know PSP can look better than this. But i'm still excited!

Isn't it supposed to be 2D gameplay with 3D graphics, cuz in those shots it looks like the camera is all over the place
