Zelda Delayed Until Next Year

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be delayed into next year.

http://cube.ign.com/articles/642/642238p1.html

There is nothing I am looking for to playing in the Gamecube now. I hope Nintendo learns something from this now that they are probably going to lose money in holidays sale since they dont have any major release in the holiday. What I dont understands is why would if zelda comes out next year why will it be for gamecube since the revolution is coming out next year also if it is not delay also.

i think a part of me just died...

Tho if they're going to delay a game, most likely it will produce a better game. Blizzard does it all the time, and their games are totally worth it.

Remember how many times Ocarina of Time was delayed? It was so worth it.

As for what you said about the revolution, if you're implying that it will hamper the sales of zelda, i doubt it. Revolution is backwards compatible.

Saw this on another forum, really bad move from Big N.

Doesn't affect me much though, since I was was already planning on getting Fire Emblem:PoR first and hold on Zelda:TP until much later.

How is that a bad thing? If it makes the game better, which it will, why does everyone complain?

I wasn't complaining, just stating that it's a bad deal for Big N, because they'll lose the holiday season.

I love my GC...It's the "new dreamcast". Sorry..

I'm glad to see Nintendo not rushing it out the door as many other games have been. Nintendo has "mostly" been about quality over quantity. They know there true fans won't desert them. I know I won't. Long live the N..and "Do the mario"

If they really want to make it a good game, they should include Zelda 3 with it.

Other than that, I'm a bit skeptical about this game. The last few console zelda games (other than graphic upgrades) have been exactly the same. We saw what delays did to Doom III and Half-Life 2, so hopefully this will only mean a better Zelda game I would hope.

As much as I hate to admit it, the XBOX has more in common with the Dreamcast than the GameCube would have with the Dreamcast...

The Gamecube has maybe two solid fighting games, Capcom vs SNK 2, and Soul Calibur 2, and the XBOX has them, King of Fighters 2002/2003, Metal Slug 3 / 4&5, SVC: Chaos, Shenmue 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, and some Sega games that got ported from the Dreamcast, like Dead or Alive 2...

The Dreamcast had CPS2/3,Neo Geo, and Naomi games and so did the XBOX...

The Dreamcast had a few solid racing games and RPGs, so does the XBOX...

The only thing the Dreamcast and Gamecube have in common is poor sales....

But the Dreamcast had a better library than the Gamecube...

come now, don't be so harsh. we all know delaying games is the new "in thing" to do with software companies.

If you mean financially, the situation won't change much. 80% of profit from the GBA/DS's sales. As if they sold more Gamecubes than PS2s or Xboxes any other holiday season.

However, I'm dissapointed as well, but there's a bright side.

I suppose I expected the game to be pushed back. But as many have already said, it should be worth that wait.
