Question Pixel Shader Emulator for Geforce2 MX?

I have Geforce2 MX video card and this particular brand of card doesn't have a pixel shader.

When I go and play the new games that are coming out the graphics are not render correctly.

I was wondering if there is a pixel shader emualtor or is there a way to turn off the pixel shader in games?

(At this point in time, getting a new video card is not an option)

YOu can use 3danalyze to disable pixel shaders effects in games, but there will probably be a lot of graphical bugs.

3danalyze a try for the demo Pariah. The game didn't even run.

i guess you're going to have to settle for not playing those games..there comes a time when every man realizes that his hardware is obsolete :/

This is not going to happen at any great speed for a long time gfx gpus are highly parrallel (i believe, maybe the wrong term) and your cpu isnt designed to handle highly parrallel code maybe pixel shader emu on cell or newer powerpc

Perhaps you should go and pick up a 5200 or a 6200.

RivaTuner has an option you seek. But I don't think you enjoy playing games with less than 1fps.

Get a 9800 or higher from Ati, or a GF 6x00. You can also find cheap X600...
I had a GF4MX for too long and if there's only 1 good thing to do, it's to buy smething better, believe me, you won't regreet it.
Don't buy the FX series they suck at pixel shaders

I trade my gf2 card just to buy fx5200 because of that problem. It useless if having pixel shader emulator or turn off it. Better to upgrade your gfx card

If you want a budget card with pixel shaders just for compatibility, the 5200 is a fine choice. Just bcause it's slower than a decapitated sloth is no reason not to purchase it.
