This is why I don't play PC games until they've been out 2-3 years or more. Darn things never get released without tons of bugs anymore. And this despite the fact the KOTOR 2 team has many of those who made PS:T so special.

F.I.N.A.L.L.Y!!!

This game was so bugridden (even though it could be played thru in my comp) that i stopped playing and wait for the patch. Now i'll restart my game and hopefully play it thru less painfully.

I hope we get cutted stuff back in some point too. (a mod team is already looking into this. KOTOR2 files are FULL of cutted content! Lucas Arts and their damn release scheludes... )

yeah, its the damn internet's fault. if they couldn't count on being able to patch the games after half-ass testing, they'd come out with far less bugs and the only major patches would be to handle hardware problems.

probably an optional patch, if they can't handle the download, nobody is forcing them.

Especially those of us on a limited 56k connection...why couldnt they just do it right the first time? The only problem I have had with this game is one time, all of a sudden, the party selection screen popped up, and no matter what I did I couldnt close it. Had to reset my rig and lost about 2 hours worth of playing.

Because of Lucas Arts. They didnt give Obsidian a chance to push release date further, so they had to cut enormous amount of content and character dialogs away (thats why game feels like its full of holes and stupidities), and they had to keep beta testing minimum. (read: non-existent)

Meh, I completed this ages ago, and I doubt they are gonna add in the HK factory quest and other little quests that appeared to be missing. I'll stick with the far more polished Jade Empire now.

There is a modteam looking into this missing content issue. They had some nice progress too. http://magestrix.com/K2End/about.html

Unless Obsidian decides to fill those holes, this mod is this games only hope.

Well since its not going to be official (not from Obs and not from LA), they have nothing to complain about .

Game works fine on my ATi card, 9700pro; what problems are people having with this? I know the first one had issues with soft-shadows, but this one I was suprised to pop it in and play flawlessly. I use 4xAA and 16xAF too, so beauty!

Early game does feel full of holes though, I stopped playing from boredom and recently picked it back up (last week, because of Jade Empire reminding how good Bioware is) and am exploring Nar Shaada again. The only thing I hate about hte PC version is it's a pain in the rear to do the swoop racing. I need that analog looseness and not hte digital harsheness for such a game.

I wish they'd add joystick/gamepad support, it cant be that damn hard to do it. I use joytokey to emulate the keyboard but they unfortuantely don't have all the same commands as the xbox version (namely attack selection / queuing and healing seelction/queueing). Oh well , keyboard and mosue is good enough to have a solid frame rate - SHAQ-FU that choppy stuff on the xbox (I wish Jade Empire would have been announced for PC so I wouldn't have to waste my time and eye sight with that on xbox).
