Half life 2 for XBOX?

I hear chatter here and there but no clear answer wheter or not Half Life 2 is going to be on XBOX, at one point Valve said they were not going to release and XBOX version but then they say that they are currently working on one.

.I love half life but there is no way that my system ever going to able to play HL2 so the XBOX version would be the next best thing, so please if you know anything about it please shed some light on the topic.

It's still up in the air. I don't care if it goes to XBOX or not, I just don't want the PC version to suffer for it. Valve might do what they did to Half-Life 1, release it on consoles a while after it is on PC or maybe even do what id is doing with Doom 3 and contracting a 3rd party developer to do all the work. But I know I won't play it on XBOX...
