Warcraft III Level Demo Help
I'm getting my clocked clean on the last level of the demo where you have to fend off the forces until the ships are built. The Seige Golems and the other elemental monsters are providing a lot problems. The Seige Golems are taking little damage when I attack them. Do Seige Golems have any weaknesses?

If.... i dont remember well but large units have heavy armor. Try piercing units, if you are playing with humans then go riflemen, if orcs troll headhunters and so on... Also i think that magic casters have piercing damage in the older versions... (they do magic damage on the newer patches)

My strategy for that level was: - My troop was mainly composed of Grunts and Trolls, with about 4-6 Docs and Shamans for support; - Mix some raiders if you're having trouble with the Golems; - Good building placement: - Build burrows in front of the towers, so they're harder to reach; - Always repair damaged burrows and towers, and rebuild the ones you lose; - Use Witch Doctors wisely: - Place Sentry Wards ahead of your three base entrances so you can see the enemies before they get close, this way you don't need to split troops; - Always keep a Stasis Traps close to the entrance so enemies get stunned when they get close, giving you extra time to react (Note: Won't work with Golems, they're immune to magic); - After you get Healing Ward, use it every battle if possible; - Get Bloodlust for your Shamans, it's auto-cast and a huge boost to your troops; - Try to use your offensive hero spells (Wolves, Chain) whenever possible. That's about it. Good luck! []s Badaro Last edited by Badaro; September 2nd, 2004 at 01:27.. |

I find that the the Grunts and Trolls always get stunted when they go hand to hand combat with the Golem. The Golem usually end up destroying several buildings at once. I'm also finding that I don't have enough resources to get everything together in such a short period of time.

well then just use some grunts, wolves and the swordmaster with its ilussions to distract the golems, though you should be careful with the micro, meanwhile let the catapults deal the damage

Proto, if you have TFT, you can play the Demo Campaign by going into "Single Player -> Custom Campaigns", it's called "Exodus of the Horde". It's only 3 short missions, and should be easy for an experienced War3 player.Quote:

Give priority to Melee units at first (Grunts/Raiders), then Docs, Shamans and finally Trolls. Also, upgrade the Docs and Shamans to Adept/Master ASAP. Things should get MUCH easier once you get Healing Ward and Bloodlust. Quote:
The last one is TFT kinda crazy, lots of stuff going on at once, but still doable.[]s Badaro |

My problem was that the Lich kept dying in the last 10s. Even at the time I did it, the Lich would've probably died in 5 more seconds.Curiously, I didn't have much trouble with the last NE classic mission. Got past there easily, with Archimonde barely touching the 3rd base. []s Badaro |
