Problem when hosting a internet game in aliens vs predator 2

Hi I have a network at home consiting of two computers right both computers can join interenet games fine and at the same time but everytime I host an internet game they do not appear on the net but it does on the other computer on the network, its the same on if I create a dedcated server aswell. So can anyone help me it would be really helpful.

my specs on both machines are:
Main computer (running the interenet connection)
intel celron 633mhz
256 meg of memory
windows ME
voodoo 3000 16 meg video memory
onboard soundcard

second computer:
Amd avolon 2400+
256 meg of memory
Windows XP home service pack 2
nvidia geforce fx 5200 128 meg of video memory
soundblaster audgy 2

my internet connection 512 broad band
