Question Saturn emu that runs dragon warrior (j)

Im not into saturn emulation, so i dont know how the emu´s are performing. My friend lend me a game - dragon warrior 2 - to see if its playable in any emu.

well, chances are you wont be running it. Download satourne and try it out. There's also some less legal options that are more likely (you could get a giri giri hack *cough*google*cough*), but we aren't uncivilizied barbarians who have to illegally steal all our softwares, are we....? Don't answer that question.

Also, if you're heart is set on some Dragon Warrior action, just get an NES emu, or play the later games for the snes. You'll have a LOT more success there.

Se there's nothing new in news that GiriGiri can be legally shared freely? Someone posted news hinting towards this a while ago, but there was some questions left unanswered...

Oh. Well, thats it then. Well, GiriGiri might be considered AbandonWare (not AbandonWareZ) now anyway, but thats something not to be discussed around here...

Abandonware = Program/game that company is no longer profiting, supporting, or touching in anyway, and probaply given permission to share it, at least not denying it anymore.

Abandonwarez = Program/game that company is no longer profiting, supporting, or touching in anyway, but has strictly denied sharing it.

Sega barely ever supported GiriGiri after they bought it AFAIK. Are they even giving a damn about whole software at all anymore?

Oh, i do realise that allright. So that belongs to somewhat same category with downloading unlicensed anime. Basically its illegal, but since authors dont care, or even some cases encourage to download them, so its up to your moral standard what YOU want to do. BTW, i have not downloaded GiriGiri, if knowing that makes you feel comfortable. Just speaking what i think without thinking what i speak.

I honestly dont care if you download it or not. As long as you dont promote the downloading of it here since it is not legal.

Oh, i am definetly not promoting. Atleast, not in purpose anyway. As i said, Ngemu is not a right place to discuss about these things. Its illegal no matter what clothes you put on it. Now we can start blaming who started this discussion anyway.

Actually, the game is Dragon Force, not dragon warrior.

You can legally download the last version of GiriGiri before it went commercial. It's hosted on this very site under the discontinued Saturn emulators.

As for the hack, here are some articles regarding it's legality, courtesy of Zophar's Domain.

It seems nobody really knows for sure what to make of it, and Sega hasn't stepped in to set things straight.

I believe not. Discussing about bios and helping to get one work isnt illegal. About downloading bios and such is.
