I agree with Yelo a bit, I found the story intriguing only because I had seen the anime first. The music for the anime was what brought me into .Hack, sadly the game's music is not the same.
The idea of having a Anime,Manga and Game series be tied all together in one big story loop. (not getting the full story without seeing the other) was a nice touch, but executed poorly. I hope other series try this in the future to more sucess. |

Yes, it definitely is. 4 different games, with almost EXACTLY the same features. I even looked at the space the game takes up... approx 1 GB(For the first, I don't own the others). They could have made the game MUCH, MUCH longer and added MANY, MANY more features, but no, they had to be lazy, money-hungry idiots -_-. Look at Xenosaga Episode I. They sold it at the same price as other games even though the game took more expensive media(AFAIK, it was the first PS2 game to use Dual Layer.). That game took around 8 GB, they put as much in as they could. Bandai is just trying to make money off the .Hack anime by making crappy, expensive games.
