Well I don't mean any offence, but I do wonder why you didn't buy a PS2 then instead of Xbox, you could've expected this.

Anyway, maybe you can try finding some info on Sudeki, I once read an article about it, though it ain't Anime, it might be interesting.

There are no good anime games on the Xbox.

The Xbox is floundering in Japan so that is why you won't see any anime games now or in the near future for the Xbox.

Go out and buy a PS2 instead.

Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox only)
Shenmue 2 (don't know about the first part)
MGS 2
Silent Hill 2&3 (maybe Anime...)

>Shenmue 2 (don't know about the first part)

Shenmue 1 was DC only. Shenmue 2 had a Jap and European DC port.

>MGS 2
>Silent Hill 2&3 (maybe Anime...)

I'd hardly call those 'anime'

IIRC Shikigami no Shirow is on the X-Box. Anime-esque vertical scrolling shooter.

Hmm..There is Robotech, but that was released on all 3 platforms. It's fun though

Hmm..there is Black Stone: Magic and Steel. It is a poorly made Gauntlet wannabe with anime characters..don't bother

Guilty Gear X2 #Reload = Fighter (Very Good)

erm...bah... Xbox doesn't cater much to anime at all

I believe that Robotech game was made by an American company (TDK) that is why it ended up on the Xbox.

I didn't buy a PS2 because I like Xbox way better. I don't know much about playstation, but I think Xbox is a much better system all the way. An I honestly don't care which one has more games or what's more popular either. But thanks guys :guitar:

The Xbox is a much newer system, but newer doesn't imply better.

Just keep it in mind: The PS2 might have a "slower" processor (200 MHz RISC CPU), the Xbox is a PC with a 733MHz CELERON!!! And a GeForce 2/3 hybrid to produce its graphics.

But: The PS2 has much more power given by its Emotion engine with two seperate vector units (Some guy from Konami stated that the PS2 has a Fill Rate that beats even newer consoles). If programmed right, the PS2 will produce awesome results visible in many games like GT3, Xenosaga, ICO or Silent Hill 2/3/4. On the other hand there are many games that don't look as good their Xbox counterpart, because they were made for PC/Xbox first and ported to PS2 afterwards with terrible results (RUNE as the best/worst example). It is mostly caused by bad programming and not by the lack of power the PS2 offers.

Think about it....

i wudnt go that far but i will say this:

today i went out to bestbuy and they had the burnout3 demo going. I was amazed that such a game was possible on ps2. Realtime reflections, amazing particle effects, no jaggies, and super crisp resolution. I think it looks even better than gt3 only less realistic. If this is a sign of things to come, then the ps2 still has a lot of life in it yet.

I thought about it, but graphically the ps2 falls short to everything else.

Yes, the PS2 does fall short a lot of the time because of it's obscure hardware.
Yes, for 90% of games the X-Box will look better.
However, the X-Box isn't a better console for the simple reason that games make the console, and the X-Box has far far less superb exclusive titles than the PS2

I obviously don't care about how many titles Xbox has. I said that before! To me, xbox is STILL 1000x better then PS2. With PS2, you got to buy a separate harddrive. Xbox has it already, and it doesn't cost more because of it either. I don't hate PS2, it's just something I would never buy. You see, I don't "go with the flow" or "ride the band wagon", I evaluate things for myself. Please don't think that I'm angry.

Oh yeah, and another thing, I REALLY don't care what has better graphics either. NES graphics suck compared to todays games but I still love it and I wouldn't trade it for a PS2 anyday of the year.

Xbox lovers are NOT trying to put down PS2 at all Vanit. It's just our opinion, just like YOU like to put down Xbox. I heard that PS3 is going to be Sony's last game system. Playstation sales are currently dropping and Xbox is gaining much more sales now adays. And I think Xbox 2 will be better than PS3 anyway.

There is more to do with an Xbox (modded or not), such as downloadable content, saving CD tracks, up to 8 memcards, and more. But still, PS2 does have some advanced options that Xbox doesn't have. (You know...).

By the way, Yu-Gi-oh is an anime game for Xbox :guitar:

If you want more power, why not just get a PC.

BTW, the only anime game is Guilty Gear X series for the Xbox.

We rather this thread NOT become a console fanboy club. One will always defend the machine they have purchased. Tis the way of things...

We on the other hand invested in all 3 next gen consoles. Keep in mind that DW never buys things at full price, and that we are older and much more ..erm..established in the workforce (not rich)

The Xbox was the last machine we purchased. The games simply did not fall into much of our tastes. We are not much of a PC type gamer or FPS gamer..So that ruled out a few titles for us. Multiplatform titles always seemed cheaper on PS2. So that killed more selections. We did snatch up a few must haves...What it basically boiled down to was which machine offered the most games we have interest in. Obviously the PS2 catered to more of our tastes.

However, there can be no doubt that we love our Xbox. It's design has brought about many more uses then you can imagine . It may have been the last to be purchased, but it is currently our most favorite machine. We suppose emulation had much to do with that

that's why I keep my DC around; chankast isnt at a level where it equals or surpasses the DC yet (aside from the odd perfectly working game @ 1280x1024) and the DC is also an Atari 2600, a NES, a gameboy on a big screen (amazing emu; good sound, smooth and a TV screen is the best 'filter' you can have for GB), and even an MSX... and more if I want to.
