I'm building a new computer just for the purpose of making Doom3 run fast. I hope to get it looking like in the movie!

I think it's very impressive. I'm still a big fan of Doom, since I still play it with the Doomsday Engine. It looks good, and my new motherboard is coming back from RMA ^_^

I'm ready for Doom 3 also. Just got an Nvidia 6800 GT video card. Very impressive. Even better than my FX 5900 Ultra. Now if I could only find the 3 new demos for it. Nvidia only has the videos, but I would like the demos. Anyone know where they might be found?
sincerely,
sx/amiga

No matter what card anyone has it says the levels take up 500MB of texture memory - we have 256MB max in current video cards!
Also, at the end PC gamer says you really should have a P4 3.4 ghz or AMD, 2GB ram, and a GeForce 6800 Ultra or ATI 800 XT pro whatever its called.
Good thing I am building a new computer lol I am calling it the 'Doom Buster'

it says it CAN take up to 500MB, no video cards have over 256 right now so it doesnt really matter. and thats high end if you want to run EVERYTHING at ultra high, which i could really care less about, im sure it will still be a beautiful game on medium

The Matrox Parhelia 512, has as the name sugguests, has 512MB VRAM. Not that it helps it much, they are pretty terrible gaming cards.
