Well with the games we heard at E3 the list was nice but didn't seem like a whole lot of games. Well just today there has been 70 more games announced! Not all of these games will be released in North America or elsewhere, but there is a good chance that we will be seeing a few of these games.

Sony's PlayStation Meeting 2004, which has just taken place in Tokyo, launched an impressive barrage of third-party developer and publisher support for PSP with the unveiling of a massive list of over 70 games that are currently in production.

While many of the games are unlikely to see a release outside Japan (although we are quite taken with the twin concepts of Ninja Bunny Warriors and Habitrail Hamster Ball), the fact that heavyweight companies like Konami, Activision, EA, Eidos, Ubi Soft and Atari are on board is a sign of just how much clout PSP is likely to have when it launches early next year.

Highlights include superb arcade-style racers Burnout and Need for Speed Underground, classic puzzler Bust-A-Move, Professional Wrestling from SmackDown! developers Yuke's and Tony Hawk's Underground 2. There's also mention of Winning Eleven 8 - the Japan-only game that will form the basis of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 - so it appears as if Pro Evo is indeed PSP-bound.

These are in addition to the previously-revealed list of PSP games that includes Metal Gear Acid, Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, WRC, This is Football 2005, Gran Turismo 4, Everybody's Golf, Formula 1 '04 and Ape Escape. There is, literally, something for everyone.

Meanwhile, Sony have confirmed that PSP's wireless network support will allow up to 16 players to connect together without needing a hub although, underwhelmingly, Dynasty Warriors will be one of the first games to support this feature. The handheld will also be able to hook up to PS2 via the USB port.

Bust a move is every where , that's horrible doing the saame game on every consoles and sometimes with no big updates that's really boring (even for the makers)

The PSP is kind of like the PS2, lots of games but none of them interest me. Also, like the PS2, it's expensive. I hope it's not going to give disc read errors like the PS2.

I'm sure there will eventually be plenty of games that will interest me though. And plus the PSP does look cool, and you'll feel more comfortable playing it in front of other people.

Also the PSP is loaded with nice other features like a music and movie player.

Still reminds me of PS2... which I guess can be a good thing in some ways.

Anyways yes, the PS2 has alot of games. I am very picky myself. Out of all the games ca count the ones I like on my hands. But the quality of those games are great. Jak and Daxter Series, Ratchet and Clank Series, Gran Turismo Series, Final Fantasy, Virtua Fighter, Sly Cooper etc ...

I hope that square releases a PSP only Final Fantasy. And that some of those cool platform games we all love get to the PSP someday.

Oh I bet it can. Half of these probably won't see the light of day outside Japan anyways. I was browsing through the games over a Gamespot today that are coming to the PSP and wow, they released a few new gameplay videos and it looks hella nice.

Ummm, The only thing to that, even tough I know Techtv did post it, is that some can screw their PS2 up a lot worse by messing around with it. DRE's are largely caused by dust, not on the lens on top, but on the secondary lens that is underneath. Those things get extremely dusty pretty fast. Easiest fix is a can of compressed air and good aim....

NOW it's $150. Not too long ago it was $200, even though it was the oldest, and least powerful system. Still $150 is way too much for that poorly built console which will break in 2 years anyway. Sony rules the console market like Microsoft rules the OS market, they can charge almost anything and sell.

And I was really referring to the prices Sony gives to systems when they come out. If Nintendo tryed to release something like the PSP for that price it would fail worse then the N-Gage.

What is with you people and breaking consoles? I have never broken any consoles ... ever. I still have my nes that my brother got before I was even able to play it. You need to learn to be gentle and careful. And yoy won't have these problems. It isn't poorly built. The first ones had some DVD-Rom titming issues and the whole loader tray but that has all been fixed. It's the games, not the graphics or how powerful it is.

Well like the PS2 vs Gamecube and the PSP vs DS the Sony systems can do alot more and is intended for an older audience. The PS2 plays DVD's, Audio CD's, PSone games, DVD-R,DVD+R and also PS2 games

While the Gamecube only plays Gamecube games. They are consoles directed towards different audiences, and you people need to realize that. You gonna pay more for a toaster that toasts or a toaster that toasts and makes smoothies and cleans itself. See what I'm getting at.

I still have one of the oldest PS2s and it runs fine. I donno but I consider the SCPH 30001R to be old. I tend to agree with what you say.

Disagree. I don't think that the PS2 did well merely because it had a DVD player. I think it is the developers who make or break the console. In the end the console is for playing games, and playing games only. And the PS2 simply has the largest variety of great games of almost all types.
