Need help in Final Fantasy 1

Im curently playing FF Origin on the psx and im stuck in FF1: im level 11 and in the town of melmond, i guess i need to go to the earth cave but inside theres an eart titan that doesnt let me pass. anybody knows whats up with that?

iirc you have to get a ruby for him and then he lets you pass.

Level up to level 13, head south and you'll see a cavern, go down a couple levels and defeat the Vampire (this really is one of those games that certain bosses are nearly impossible if you aren't high enough in levels), you'll get a ruby and then you can head back and get past the Gaint or whatever is blocking your path.

and I own both the NES cart and the FF Orgins game. BTW if you had a walk through, why did you ask where to go?

I thought the people in Melmond talked about the Earth Cave, The Vampire and Lich? FFI is an awesome game, I own the original NES cart of it.
