Street Fighter has a lot of obscure plot...

This includes tidbits like how hot and how painful the projectiles feel, and a revealing expose on Zangief's sexuality.

This is what happens when fans get too obsessed with a game. And I think I remember reading some of this at Gamefaqs.

That's actually a very interesting guide for fans. And as a fan of the SF series myself, I find that discussing the sexuality of Zangief should be unargueably relevant.

(Heh, just kidding obviously. )

I've been reading that page for an hour now and gotten big headache. Capcom changes tha plot so much that they should just forget making a story. They even changed Street Fighter 2 plot b/c of alpha which in my mind shouldn't have happened. They should just centered story line around Street Fighter 2 plot so everything made sense. Only read the link to be more confused about the plot.

I love fighting games but even I have to admit that most of their plots just plain suck. Sure, it might be possible to write good plotlines for fighters, but the second you put in the part "and now he/she fights for bla bla bla" it's all ruined. I don't know about anyone else, but I find that terribly cheesy. How would it ever be possible to get in these random street fights and have a plot like Street Fighter does? Eh, I'm going to just stop now lest I ramble and start making even less sense.

This is an example as to how street fighter fanatics want to fool themselves into thinking that capcom cares about a story and that it's worth caring about themselves. Which is not the case in any angle of light. It's obvious that capcom couldn't care less about continuity, and just writes all the plot in so people can't ***** that there's zero story. They make it somewhat relating to eachother so people don't whine too much. So far its worked.

In fact, I never cared a single bit for an story in any of the SF games I ever played, simply because the gameplay has always been great IMO. I never played very much to know how's someone's ending, but for the fun of playing while the matches lasted, really.
