Can ayone recommend me some good UT2k4 mods ?

I'm new to this game and will be getting it tomorrow and I heard that there are plenty of mods out there so can anyone give me a few good ones to start looking into ? =)

Tbh, there aren't plenty of mods and most of them arent much of a modification but there also some great ones!

I recommend, Red Orchesta, Troopers, Chaos Evolution, DeathBall!

Also you can come here to the mod contest www.makesomethingunreal.com

Btw if u find some other cool mods please post them here! I'm interested as well

I didn't test them all, mind you o.O .

But from the ones I saw I recommend Alien Swarm (a must try) , Red Orchestra, Deathball, Clone Bandits (wacky!! LOL stuff) and Air Bucaneers.

all of the mods are wip , some are pretty playable like frag ops, unwheel, troopers, ect.

others are still too alpha , like xcalon and anomaly (but they're still very fun).

it's all a matter of personal opinion, you may like mini spy or argh!!! , they just weren't my thing.

(get ready to have a 15gb ut2004 folder)

Caipirinha am i really wrong? Most of them arent mods at all like i said! Only new weapons and mode plays! Complete Mods there are like 5 or 6 of them!

err well, some of them are, but not 5 or 6 , most are still in alpha stage and don't have a lot of the features, and most just list as another game mode because of this. lots of potential there.

but ok I overreacted a little ^_^ I'm just liking this game so much,

Witch one? the Mini Spy? Yeah i got thatone as well! Pretty neat! Red Orchesta is an awsome mod as well!

have you tried alien swarm? i recommended it. in terms of fun I think it's better than red orchestra, of course it doesn't win on code and custom content. but IMO it's the best ut2004 mod until now.

it has a pretty nice single player campaign, and a co-op multiplayer that is just a blast, each map has a mission and each character class has a meaningful purpose, its already better than some full-priced games :P
