I haven't actually bothered with Neo Geo so I can't give any firsthand advice. All I can say is check the readmes and keep googling.

You should read them, worth for some interesting minutes, and helps you avoid opening threads about ilegal material such as downloaded neo geo games.

IIRC NeoRageX has an option to play "unrecognized" ROM sets. You should look at the very bottom of the ROM list.

There's a special NeoRageX build of MSlug4 that can do it. I won't tell you where to find it, however.

Post Scriptum: Cloud, if it was so, every cartridge-based emulation discussion would be illegal.

Actually i was talking about this
>>>I recently downloaded Metal Slug 4 (and 3).
I'm just against that type of talking about "i've downloaded ****rom and ****iso ", etc.

Hate to say this, but this thread is about illegal subject matter... you have to use hacked versions of NeoRageX, WinKawaks, or MAME to play these games, hacks that get around the five year rule for these emulators. It kinda goes against the MAME license.

F-3582: If you owned the hardware and the cartridge, you could dump it yourself (i know... not that easy ). Problem lies in that he clearly stated that he downloaded it. You have the right to make a backup copy of the software you own, but not to use another one's backup copy, even if you own a copy of the same software. Don't misunderstand me, i'm not blaming him nor anyone, but it's just that i believe it's agaisn't the board rules, and the sooner he knows, the least problems he'll have here.

Anyways, if this discussion is still open, it's pretty clear that admins are already aware of it, and don't find anything ilegal on it, so no problem keep on it.

Who says that he doesn't own the game itself? Maybe he downloaded it for playing it as arcade version, not as console version (such an arcade cabinet can be really expensive )

Yes, illegal discussion, thus closed.
