In a fight, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli

I was play my lord of the rings game for the xbox, when I started wondering who would when in a fight to the death. I think Legolas would have a advantage being the oldest and most experience fighter. I didn't include Gandalf because he could take all three at the same time. As for the hobbits, maybe sam, but the rest are kind of weak in the fighting.

if it's just plain one-on-one, then i'm with legolas. gimli's tough in the thick of battle, but he'd get taken down with an arrow unless he could sneak up on legolas... and of course that's not going to happen. aragorn would stand more of a chance, but he'd never get within sword's reach of him. seems like kind of a silly thing to think about though...

hmm, me ofcourse

the whole idea is kinda dumb though

anyways, lego is obviously faster and more agile, but lemme ask you a question, does he know -ALL- the words to the oscar meyer song? hmm? i did not think so, plus anduril has longer reach than those little scimitars he has

judging by the game though, yes strider would win, he gets better upgrades and that last combo he gets kicks some major ass, and he's pretty good with bows too (watch fotr

) plus he's in his 80s so he's had quite a bit of battle experience as well

as for the hobbits i think merry would win, then pippin, then sam, then frodo... if you remember they drank a little bit of treebeard's special water which made em grow into almost normal small person size

at any rate they resepctively would have rohan and gondorian armor, and quite a bit of battle experience as well considering that sam and frodo barely did anything but hold each other until shelob's lair... sam did kill shelob but, that was mainly out of desperation, plus he isnt in the exact physical shape of a fighter either

I voted for Legolas. But I based my decision on the movies, not the game. Legolas used a bow and could fire arrows unnaturally fast, he had superior hearing, he had superior speed and agility, need I say more? Legolas brought down an Oliphant by himself, did the others do that? No. Could the others have done that? I don't think so. As far as I'm concerned, Legolas all the way.

Anyway back on topic! Give Gimli a shield and he would win of course! He's to short for anyone to actually hit him and Legolas would be no match with a shield!

Aragorn, He's got that *****in sword. Plus Viggo Mortensen was a much better actor than Orlando Bloom. Aragorn had a purpose for going to war, Legolas was just there because Elrond convinced him to be.

BTW it wasn't Legolas killing the Mumakil...it was just a horrible CG...one of the worst in the trilogy.

eomer brought down an oliphaunt (two actually

) as did eowyn i believe, gandalf with the right fireworks couldve done it too

and anduril is a damn nice sword, plus aragorn wasnt bad with a bow either, in the game it seemed pretty easy to deflect arrows as well

Just because of the fact that Legolas is an expert marksman with a bow I'm going to have to go with him. Hell, he can even rapid fire, essentially. Remember the fight with the Uruk-hai at the end of the first movie when he whipped off 3 arrows in like 3 seconds? I'm having flashbacks to pre-patch pvp fights with Amazons in Diablo 2. So cheap you just can't win.

Legolas is pretty quick and nimble, so in that case, I'd say he'd dash away and then proceed to fire off a volley. Aragorn might have a chance at him, but Gimli'd never be able to get him.
