Yeah at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference Peter Moore had that date and a Halo 2 symbol tattooed on his arm (prolly fake ink tho ).

Man I wish Peter Moore was still with Sega.

Was there something wrong with the PC port? I never really got it and never heard anyone complaining I heard the MP was good!

The PC port of the first Halo was alright except that it wasn't optimize enough for modern PC. It does require a monster PC to run the game. I have a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ with a Asus GF FX 5600(256 mb) video card and I can only run the game with 800X600 res with low settings...sucks...
Hopefully the PC version of Halo 2 will be a better port.

i have a 2500+ and 5600, i run the game very well at 800x600, of course its down to the 10-20 FPS during battles but that's ok. i haev specular and shadows off but everything else to max (and PS1.1).

HOWEVER dont let that deceive you, as my P3 1ghz and GF2 mx400 can run multiplayer mode with all settings at low at 640x480 VERY nicely, we are talking like 60 to 100 fps

800x600 isn't that bad with temporal AA (it looks more like 1024x786 to the untrained eye) It has good framerates here
