Action RPG choice

well i just bought a new PS2 last month and my friends came and dumped their DVDs with me

ive got about 30 games with me and i don't know which one to play first.

Anyways i needed a action RPG experience so i decided to go with Baldurs Gate : Dark Alliance 2. but a friend of mine tells me that a game called Champions of Norrath is much better.

So can anyone, who has played either of these games, or better still, both of them please tell me which one is better? i'll play both of them eventually but do not have too much free time and it might take quiet a while to finish just one

Action RPGs....
Dark Chronicle (aka Dark Cloud 2) is quite good. The first one blew chunks tho.
Kingdom Hearts is superb if you can put up with the Disney.

The first Dark Cloud wasn't so bad....just the combination of too many characters with too many weapons to be trying to level up all the time....it's time consuming....

Dark Cloud is nothing next to Dark Cloud 2, Trust me. DC was mediocre at best. DC2 is actualy a damned good game (and only 3 characters that need leveling up).

Hmm to me the ps2 lacks of good RPGS , at least here in Europe .

While I enjoyed Dark Cloud 2, it got to be tedious near the end. I stopped playing it for a year simply because I was tired of doing level after level. Then I went back to it, tried to finish, and the end is incredibly annoying. After I wasted half an hour b/c there's no save points, I never put that game in again.

i have champions of norrath its ok its nothing special the good thing is theres tons of items like 10,000

, the gameplay isnt that good its alright im playing as a Barbarian and i can die pretty easily

Like 'em both, have 'em both. Really really like BG Dark Alliance II but, as far as I'm concerned, Champions of Norath is better. My suggestion? Go with Champions of Norath first, play a little way into it, then do the same w/BG Dark Alliance. After you've done this, then decide which you like better and continue w/that one.

The best action RPGs are IMO on PSX, you can still play them on PS2: Threads of Fate, Alundra and Parasite Eve
